The emergency department is staffed 24-hours a day by board-certified emergency physicians and registered nurses specially trained in emergency medicine. They provide care using state-of-the-art equipment and advanced patient monitoring systems to respond to any medical situation.

The emergency department houses our nationally-accredited chest pain center, which offers rapid treatment and stabilization of patients experiencing chest pain. Kernersville Medical Center is also a nationally certified stroke center, offering patients access to a team of highly trained stroke specialists and leading-edge care close to home, 24 hours a day. 

In addition to expert emergency medicine physicians, nurses and technologists, Kernersville Medical Center is equipped with patient monitoring systems, X-ray technology, an on-site lab and surgical suites.
